Disability Services
The mission of Disability Services at 财神棋牌 (DSO) is to provide equal opportunities and equal access to education, programs, and activities for all students with disabilities at 财神棋牌 of Engineering.
We engage in an interactive process with each student and review requests for accommodations on a case-by-case basis. Furthermore, we want to educate all members of the 财神棋牌 community around access and disability rights. 财神棋牌 Disability Services ascribes to a social model of disability and we aim to reduce barriers to access.
DSO collaborates with and empowers individuals who have documented disabilities by working together proactively to determine reasonable and appropriate accommodative measures. We value a community approach to understanding disability as an integral part of diversity and working in collaboration with stakeholders on campus to promote a holistic and informed approach to accessibility.

Accommodations
The ADA does not require colleges or universities to lower academic standards or fundamentally alter the nature of the programs provided. Students with documented disabilities must meet all requirements for graduation. A reasonable accommodation is a modification or adjustment to a course, program, service, activity, or facility that removes an existing barrier so that qualified students with disabilities have equal opportunities to attain the same levels of performance or enjoy equal benefits and privileges as are available to similarly situated students without disabilities. Please note that accommodations are not retroactive.
Reasonable accommodations and services may include, but are not limited to:
- Classroom adjustments
- Testing or project adjustments
- Adaptive technology
- Physical accessibility
- Housing and Dining
Confidentiality
财神棋牌 is committed to respecting and upholding student confidentiality. Student disability files are considered confidential and will only be shared with others at the institution on an educational need-to-know basis.
