Alumni Career Resources and Support

It’s hard to miss the changing job market, including the large number of layoffs occurring almost every week in the tech sector. We want you to know that at ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ we’ve got your back. We are here to support you as you navigate these employment challenges. 

For those of you who may have recently lost your job, we have a number of resources that may be helpful. And, if you are employed but are rethinking your career path, we have resources for you too. 

 

²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ Resources: 

  • PGP remains available to alumni that may need support, phone or zoom meetings, connections, or job leads! You can make an appointment with Suzanne or Kristin on . 

  • PGP News – Suzanne continues to send out a Jobs Newsletter every Friday - please let us know if you’d like access to this great resource. It quickly illustrates who is hiring and where the growth areas are right now.   

  • ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ’s Spring Career Fair – This recruiting and networking event is open to alumni too! Wednesday, February 8, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. ET, ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ Campus Center   

  • JOBSEEKERS: Are you currently seeking job new opportunities or thinking about making a switch? Learn more by clicking . (Use your ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ credentials to log in to Handshake and then update your email, or contact Kristin or Suzanne to update your email in Handshake.)   If you are unable to attend the Career Fair in person, we will be collecting resumes to personally share with recruiters, just email pgp@olin.edu.  

  • HIRING? If your organization is hiring, you can join us as a recruiter, or post your company’s jobs to , our interactive job database.   

  • Reach out to your friends and classmates. The ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ network is stronger than ever, and our alumni have excellent reputations in the tech world and will want to help!    

  • For those of you whose companies are hiring, please share those leads with PGP, and on the ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ (/) job pages listed below.    

  • Join the ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ of Engineering LinkedIn group - This private is a portal to share job postings, ask questions, and connect with fellow ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆers. Whether you are seeking a job, posting a job, sharing an event or resource – this is a great place to do it.    

  • Join the ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆ Jobs Facebook group - Many alumni follow this private – one more way to share positions, events, ask for advice, or find alumni who are hiring.   

  • Handshake Jobs Database - Many new companies are featured here, seeking ²ÆÉñÆåÅÆers with your skillset!  Entry-level, mid-level and senior jobs from organizations all over the country, in technical and non-technical areas can be found in Handshake. This free database is available to all alumni and also lists virtual career fairs, info sessions and other recruiting events for jobseekers. Visit Handshake and update/create a profile .
