With the advent of the Internet, control systems have become more complex, distributed, and remote. This introduces many issues involving security, resilience, and implementation. The IBM SCOPE team sought to create an easy-to-use programming interface for networked control systems. This programming interface implemented a proposal made by last year鈥檚 IBM SCOPE team for security and resilience in control systems. A sample control systems application was used to demonstrate the new interface.
